Corn snakes are not native to England, nor are they suited to surviving in the British countryside.

If you release any pets which are not native to your country then the odds are that THEY WILL DIE in a matter of days.

England is far too cold to accommodate a corn snake, which thrives in warm climates.

Releasing small animals like lizards, hamsters, tortoises, reptiles etc etc is as good as throwing them off a bridge. Please, if you have any unwanted pets then try to find animal welfare centres to take them off your hands. If you can’t find any, then please give them to your nearest pet store. Most of the time we will try to resell them to a loving home (sometimes if we can’t we’ll end up giving them to organisations like the RSPCA). Please do not just release them because they’ll either die from hypothermia or starvation. Animals born and raised in captivity do not have the knowledge or skills to provide for themselves in the wild.
